Description
This shrub species is excellent for those with little room to plant a tree. The serviceberry plays an important role in the urban ecosystem by providing edible berries for you and local wildlife, as well as habitat to beneficial insects.
We really love this shrub’s delicate, lovely early spring flowers.
It has green foliage throughout the season. The oval leaves turn an outstanding orange in the fall.
A Serviceberry bush will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It is a good choice for attracting birds to your yard.
